DESKTOP RUNNER — Idle Desktop Companion

A simple black-and-white desktop runner that moves while you work.

No controls. No pressure. Just let it run.

Your character automatically runs and jumps over cacti while sitting at the bottom of your screen. It’s inspired by the classic dinosaur runner, but turned into a passive desktop companion.

How to Download and Run

1. Download the ZIP file from this page
2. Right-click the ZIP and click Extract All
3. Open the extracted folder
4. Double-click: DesertRunnerIdle.exe

Windows Notice

Windows may show a message like:

“Windows protected your PC” or “Unknown publisher”

That is normal for small indie apps like mine :).

To open it:

1. Click More info
2. Click Run anyway

How to Close the App

To stop the runner:

1. Look in the bottom-right of your screen near the clock
2. Find the app icon in the system tray
3. Right-click it
4. Click Quit

If you do not see the icon, click the small arrow ^ to show hidden icons.

How to Remove It

There is no installer.

To remove the app:

1. Close the app
2. Delete the extracted folder

That’s it.

Leave it running while you do homework, browse, or relax.
